Why Book a Flat Roof Survey?

There are several reasons to book a survey with us, be it poor quality workmanship, an ongoing leak or just a simple insurance survey for a new property.

Leak Detection

Leaking flat roofs are annoyance and potentially very costly of allowed to progress. At Strandek, we have extensive experience in leak detection. This can be quite a complex process and in many cases the source of the leak is in an adjacent structure. Once located, we are able to document the leak in a report, suggest and if necessary implement a range of repair solutions as required.

Condition Assement / Audit

Here we aim to evaluate the overall condition of a flat roof membrane and associated features. Many customers select this option as a pre-emptive solution. In many cases, damaged roofs can be refurbished via an overdeck or overlay – both of these avoid more costly replacements involving insulation and with the latter, decking. Once the new membrane has been applied, it will offer the same lifetime as a brand new roof.

Insurance Report

When purchasing a new property or applying for house insurance, you may be required to seek a professional roofing survey to evaluate the condition of the flat roof. Here, we are able to provide insurance-compliant reports offering condition assessments and projected lifetimes.

Help to Dispute Faulty Workmanship

Poor quality workmanship is a common occurrance in the flat roofing industry. Strandek are able to provide evidence-backed, independent surveys highlighting defective workmanship, materials and overall installation practices. This is designed to help support customers in and disputes both ongoing and prior with roofers.

Compliance with building regulations is a necessity.
